Shop Experiences & Reviews:

Thumbs Up AutoLab (Louisville, KY)

Bill is always a pleasure to work with on fabrication projects from engine swaps to tubular manifolds.

  • Created 4inch stainless downpipe and 3inch aluminum intercooler piping for my turbo lexus sc300
  • Pricing is often high.

Thumbs Up Injected Performance (Lexington, KY)

Greg is always looking to get you the best deal on performance parts. Great prices, large inventory, and good customer support - what more can you ask for?

Thumbs Up RTC, Racing Technology Co (Lexington, KY)

Dan has been working on 2JZs for many years, and is always happy to help make one fast. RTC has full fabrication abilities in house along with a dynodynamics dyno, and a machine shop next door.

  • Use of their dynodynamics dyno allowed me to create a great fuel and ignition map quickly from the ground up
  • Assisted in welding, along with press use for rear dif parts

Medium Innovations Performance (Orlando, FL)

Larry McNeil, previously of Autotuner, has lots of experience building Supras and offers affordable TH400 conversion and built motors.

  • Great guy to work with and speak to, but often is hard to get in touch with even on his cell phone.
  • First motor build took 8 weeks longer than quoted for no reason other than machine shop being "backed up." First motor lasted less than 1000 miles before oil pump decided to quit life and took the pistons / rods / crank etc
  • Second motor Larry was helpful in sourcing parts and the build was completed quickly. The motor came back with a dead water pump.
  • TH400 after inspection is a good unit as is the Midwest converter for the money. The driveshaft and rear adapter were not included as originally specified, although a partial reimbursement was made when I sourced them elsewhere.

Thumbs Down Sound Performance (Chicago, IL)

Larry Prebis is often impossible to get in touch with. While SP has played a role in developing Supra parts, their prices reflect this and they lack any idea of how a customer should be treated. I am not alone on this thought, as others have been observed "selling all SP parts off my car so I am free of their name." Also, expect every order to be 1-2 weeks later than projected, even if they say "It shipped today."

  • Purchased driveshaft and adapter. Products were good, arrived late.
  • Purchased turbo. Arrived 1-2weeks late, and died within first 5 minutes of idling - unsure of cause. Was not covered under the 1 year warranty, and I was informed of the $650 repair charge after the work had already been completed.
  • Purchased injector isolators. Price billed to credit card was more than 50% higher than quoted. Returned product when Larry said "If you don't like it, send them back for a refund." and was unable to get a hold of Larry after attempts by phone, email and instant messenger. Ultimately had to contact credit card company to get credit back.

Thumbs Down Sherbaz Mann (FL) (Also: Groundfloor and Fynejatt21)

Sherbaz Mann claims to care about the customer and provide only the best parts and service, when in reality Sherbaz care less about a customer so long as he is making a dollar. When something is not right, all the words Sherbaz spoke earlier to you about his prices being higher because Sherbaz only provides the best parts and service, suddenly do not matter.

  • Purchased Supra TT auto rear with LSD for $1100.
First rear arrived and was immediately identified as a NA open differential rear because the flange would not bolt up. Sherbaz had another rear sent. The second rear arrived and bolted up, so it was assumed it was LSD. 6 months and 900 miles later, the ring was damaged and when opened to put another ring on it, the rear was opened to discover that it was NOT lsd, but rather a stock open dif, the same thing the car originally came with. When confronted, Sherbaz turned the situation on me trying to say I was trying to get a free differential out of him when in fact I was only trying to get an LSD differential like I originally paid for.
  • To get the LSD I originally paid for, I would have to file and take Sherbaz to court. Lawyers have already confirmed that regardless of the 6 months or 900 miles, Sherbaz sold me a LSD rear and never delivered therefore he is responsible.
Still contemplating if it is worth pursuing; winning a $1100 case would cost more than that in fees, but having Sherbaz try and discredit me as well as get away with this scam Sherbaz has pulled almost makes it worth going to court over.
  • Sherbaz Mann is the one person I would definitely advise not doing business with - Sherbaz is a manipulative crook!

Also goes by Groundfloor and Fynejatt21; in case he tries doing this under other names, he had me send money to:
