Lexus SC300 Turbo Build - Preparation:

It all started with a 1998 Lexus SC300, purchased with the intent of building a luxury turbo weekend car. The requirements were a good condition, 97+ black on black SC. In January 2005, after a few months of looking, a clean '98 SC300 landed in the garage from Houston, TX.

 

 

The preparation for power began immediately with tearing the car down:

 

The Lexus 2JZ was built, and a Chevy TH400 3speed transmission was created to transfer the power to the wheels.
